During the treatment, local anesthesia is used to numb the tooth and surrounding area. After the tooth is numb, a small sheet of rubber is placed to isolates the tooth to keep it clean and dry during the procedure.
A small drill is used to create access inside of the tooth to remove the damaged nerve and pulp tissue. Once the infected material is removed the tooth is carefully cleaned and then filled with rubber-like material gutta-percha and then sealed it completely.
After the root canal therapy, the patient did not feel pain in the tooth as the nerve tissue has been removed and the infection has been eliminated.
